Obituary of Fred F. Carew

Fred F. Carew, age 79, of Canton, PA, died on Sunday, May 27, 2012 in Troy Community Hospital, Troy, PA. Born on May 4, 1933 in Blossburg, PA, he was the son of Fred and Ruby (Carey) Carew. Prior to his retirement, Fred was self employed in the roofing and painting business. He was a US Army veteran. Fred is survived by four sons, Gary Carew of Covington, PA, Fred Carew of Wellsboro, PA, Joe Carew of Harrisburg, PA, Michael Bacon of Frackville, PA; six daughters and sons-in-law, Sonya and Ken Taft of Painted Post, NY, Ruby and Gary Baker of Roseville, PA, Clara and Dave Holley of Covington, PA, Terrie and Randy Weatherby of Mansfield, PA, Michelle and Jerry Lonneville of Dresden of, NY, Ruby Haney of SC; one sister, Phyllis Pequignot of Canton, PA, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Fred was predeceased by a brother, Ralph Carew, a sister, Janet Jenkins and a grandson, Michael Watkins. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, May 31, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will be held immediately following calling hours at 7:00 PM.
