Obituary of David B. Yeager
David Boyd Yeager, age 68, of Arnot, PA, died on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center. Born on December 8, 1943 in Wellsboro, PA, he was the son of the late David W. Yeager and Virginia Stradley Yeager-Burt.
David served in the United States Army in Vietnam. He was an independent truck driver for over 30 years. David was a member of the Arnot Sportsmens Club, Hillside Rod & Gun Club, VFW #6755 of Liberty, PA, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge of Canton, PA, and the Morris Run Legion. David enjoyed trucks, antique cars, refinishing furniture, hunting and attending auctions.
David is survived by his wife of 16 years, Joan (Perry) Yeager; a stepdaughter, Kimberly (Michael) Route; one grandson, Noah Route; one step grandson, Hunter Route; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Patsy (Bill) Cox of Quintin, VA, Donna (Buddy) Ledbetter of Rockview, W. VA, Janet (Miles) Forer of Liberty, PA, Cindy (Keith) Pequignot of Blossburg, PA, Lydia (Don) Reed of Arnot, PA; three brothers and sisters-in-law, William (Sonya) Yeager of Arnot, PA, Pete (Linda) Yeager of Liberty, PA, Larry Yeager of Arnot, PA; a special cousin, Mike Marriner of Arnot, PA and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his special pal, Scrappy, the dog. David was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ellen Ingalls. .
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main Street, Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will be held at the funeral chapel on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 10:00 AM with Rev. John Shypulefski officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in Davids name to the charity of ones choice. Burial will be made in Arnot Swedish Cemetery. www.buckheitfcandcrematory.com
