Obituary of David C. Case

David C. Case, age 70, of Mansfield, PA died Monday, May 21, 2012 at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. David was born June 20, 1941 in Mansfield, PA, son of Chester and Elsie (Wilson) Case. He was the husband of Isabelle Daisy (VanDyke) Case for nearly 24 years. David was a sales representative for Equitable of Iowa/ING, served on the board for Prospect Cemetery Assoc. for over 30 years and was overseer of Prospect and Oakwood Cemeteries. David was owner and operator of the Mansfield Cider Mill for 40 years. He was a member of Mansfield Friendship Lodge #247 of F&AM. David, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, was a part of the Special Forces. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mansfield. Dave enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid outdoorsman.
David is survived by his wife, Daisy; a daughter Michele Drumheiser (Mark) of Harrisburg, PA; two sons Mark Case (Jennifer Shedd), Chris Case (Lisa), of Mansfield, PA; two step-sons, Michael Kenyon (Christina) of Canandaigua, NY and Mark Kenyon (Peggy) of Clay, NY; a sister, Marsha Henderson of Yorktowne Heights, NY. Daves extended family includes: Kipper Burleigh (Darlene), Cindee Burleigh Saska (David) He took great pride in telling he had 18 grandchildren Trevor Case (Andrea Levindoski), Wyatt Case, Cooper Case, Connor, Shane, Isabelle, Aiden, Colette Kenyon, Kate, Patrick and Tom Kenyon, Zach, Colton and Jacob Saska, Bo, Brock, Brent and Brody Burleigh. Dave was preceded in death by his first wife, Lenda (Wells) Case.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, May 24, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. and Friday, May 25, 2012 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 25th at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with the Rev. Canon Rudolph J. van der Hiel, currently serving the Muskoka Lakes Parish, Parry Sound, Ontario, Canada, and a close family friend, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Mansfield, PA.
