Obituary of Rodrick P. Parthemer
Rodrick P. Parthemer, age 74, of Covington Twp., PA, died Friday, April 20, 2012 at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. Rod was born May 7, 1937 in Lewisberry, PA, a son of Preston and Effie (Sanders) Parthemer. He was the husband of the late Linda N. Parthemer who passed away on October 14, 2010. Rod was a life-time dairy farmer and truck driver.
Rod is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Roderick and Susan Parthemer, Jr. of Wellsboro, PA, Keith and Donna Parthemer of Hunt, NY, Kenneth and Tammy Parthemer of Covington, PA, Randy and Naomi Parthemer of Cochranton, PA; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Dave Johnston of Mansfield, PA, Donna West and Al of Cooperstown, PA; step-children, Troy Wood of Port Byron, NY, Harley Wood of Rochester, NY, Harvey (Bobbi) Wood of Mansfield, PA, Loretta Kriner and Tommy of Covington, PA; a brother and sister-in-law, Barry and Dottie Parthemer of McClure, PA; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Ron Baer of Bethel, PA, Nancy and John Rosenberry of Manheim, PA, Darnece Simmons of New Cumberland, PA; 35 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, April 23, 2012 from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home with Rev. James Plank officiating. Burial will be in Gray Cemetery, Covington, PA.
