Obituary of Bessie M. Stone
Bessie M. (Ellis) Stone, age 77, of Lawrenceville, PA, died on Thursday, April 12, 2012 in Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro, PA. Born on August 18, 1934 in Tioga, PA, she was the daughter of Leo B. and Stella M. (Horton) Ellis. Bessie was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Stone in 1989. Bessie was employed for 19 years as a food service provider in the cafeteria of Mansfield University, retiring in 1991. She was a member of the Episcopal Church and enjoyed playing bingo in the Tioga and Lawrenceville areas.
Bessie is survived by three sons; Raymond L. (Bernice) Stone of Elmira, NY, Colie J. (Vicki) Stone of Missouri, Rocky L. (Georgina) Stone of Middlebury Center, PA; five daughters, Billie Jean (Roger) Wilson of Tioga, PA, Bonnie (Terry) Loudenslager of Liberty, PA, Susan (Stanley) Heck of Lawrenceville, PA, Jody (Michael) Bogaczyk of Montgomery, NY, Lisa (Richard McKibbin) Stone of Lawrenceville, PA; two brothers, Gerald (Patricia) Ellis of Tioga, PA, Robert Ellis of Elkland, PA; 26 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Raymond, she was also predeceased by a son, Scott Stone in 1981 and a brother, Frank Ellis.
Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, April 15, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 South Main Street, Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will be held immediately following calling hours at 8:00 PM at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Tioga, PA. www.buckheitfcandcrematory.com
