Obituary of Gertrude L. Hultz

Gertrude Hultz, age 89, of Millerton, PA, died Thursday, March 15, 2012. Gertrude was born September 11, 1922 in Nanticoke, PA, a daughter of Richard and Estella (Lewis) Stryker. She was the wife of John Walter Hultz, and would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Sunday, March 18th. Gertrude was a member of the Jackson Center United Methodist Church. She was president of the United Methodist Womens Group at the church, a 4-H leader, long-time member of the Mansfield Garden Club, enjoyed gardening, sewing, and cooking. Gertrude is survived by her husband, Walter; a son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Jane Hultz of Millerton; a daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Bill Draper of Millerton, PA, six grandchildren, Ron (Krista) Andrews, Duane (Ellen) Andrews, Renee Andrews, Daryl (Denise) Hultz, Jolene (Mike) Meisner, and Aaron (Kaitlynn) Hultz; twelve great grandchildren, Brady, Treven, Jayden, Lucus, Grace, Gloria, Nicholas, Joshua, Joel, Emma, Olivia and Jake; a sister and brother-in-law, Beatrice and Kenneth Snyder of NJ. She was predeceased by two brothers, Walter and Gerald Stryker. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the Jackson Center United Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 A.M. at the church with the Pastor Jennifer Wolfe officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Center Cemetery.
