Obituary of Gertrude L. Hultz
Gertrude Hultz, age 89, of Millerton, PA, died Thursday, March 15, 2012. Gertrude was born September 11, 1922 in Nanticoke, PA, a daughter of Richard and Estella (Lewis) Stryker. She was the wife of John Walter Hultz, and would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Sunday, March 18th. Gertrude was a member of the Jackson Center United Methodist Church. She was president of the United Methodist Womens Group at the church, a 4-H leader, long-time member of the Mansfield Garden Club, enjoyed gardening, sewing, and cooking.
Gertrude is survived by her husband, Walter; a son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Jane Hultz of Millerton; a daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Bill Draper of Millerton, PA, six grandchildren, Ron (Krista) Andrews, Duane (Ellen) Andrews, Renee Andrews, Daryl (Denise) Hultz, Jolene (Mike) Meisner, and Aaron (Kaitlynn) Hultz; twelve great grandchildren, Brady, Treven, Jayden, Lucus, Grace, Gloria, Nicholas, Joshua, Joel, Emma, Olivia and Jake; a sister and brother-in-law, Beatrice and Kenneth Snyder of NJ. She was predeceased by two brothers, Walter and Gerald Stryker.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the Jackson Center United Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 A.M. at the church with the Pastor Jennifer Wolfe officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Center Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Jackson Center United Methodist Church, P O Box 177, Millerton, PA 16936. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S.
