Obituary of Richard L. Knecht
Richard L. Knecht, age 57, of Mainesburg, PA, died Monday, February 13, 2012 at Troy Hospital, Troy, PA. Richard was born November 25, 1954 in East Stroudsburg, PA, a son of Henry and Alverta (VanBuskirk) Knecht. He was the husband of Deborah (Siegfried) Knecht. Richard graduated from Pleasant Valley High School in Broadheadsville, PA. He owned and operated Blue Mountain Woodworking in Bath, PA. He enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters. Richard was an avid hunter and his favorite pastimes were sports, farming, and horseback riding with his wife. Richard had the gift of gab.
Richard is survived by his wife, Deborah of Mainesburg, PA; a son and daughter-in-law, Kyle and Heather Knecht of Kunkletown, PA; a daughter, Krystal Knecht of Mainesburg, PA; three grandchildren, Peyton, Brooke and Kayla; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ray and Kathy Knecht of Philadelphia, PA, Delbert and Delores Knecht of Kunkletown, PA; a half sister and brother-in-law, Kelly and Gary Strohl of Effort, PA. He was predeceased by his parents, and a step-mother, Beatrice Knecht.
Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, February 18, 2012 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA.
