Obituary of Dorothy R. Aumick
Dorothy R. (Harndon) Aumick, age 84, of Wellsboro, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 30, 2012 at her sons residence in Millerton, PA. Born on August 28, 1927 in Rochester, NY, Dorothy was the daughter of Ray and Lydia (Hightree) Harndon. She was predeceased by her husband, Roy A. Aumick, Sr. in 1994. Prior to her retirement, Dorothy was employed as a laborer with Eureaka (now Paper Magic). She was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose.
Dorothy is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Tammy Aumick of Millerton, PA; a daughter, Kathleen Simmons of Wellsboro, PA; a sister, Frances Irene of California; six grandchildren: Dale, Jack, Sue and Erika Aumick, Tammy Long, Jennifer German; 11 great grandchildren; two step-grandchildren: Alesia Whipple and Nicole Heichel. In addition to her husband, Roy, she was also predeceased by a son, Roy R. Aumick in 1991, an infant son, Jackie Aumick, a sister, Esther Hollister, and a special companion, Paul Riegel in July 2011.
Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, February 4, 2012 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 South Main Street, Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will be held immediately following calling hours at 2:00 PM at the funeral chapel with Pastor Harold Burrell officiating.
