Obituary of Gladys M. Reese
Gladys M. Reese age 83 of Wellsboro, PA died on Monday, December 18, 2006 at the Robert Packer Hospital, in Sayre, PA. Gladys was born on February 16, 1923 a daughter of Andrew and Mary (Kocher) Abplanalp. She was the wife of the late LaVerne Reese who died in 1990. Gladys retired from GTE after 45 years of service. She was a lifelong member of the Cherry Flats Baptist Church.
Gladys is survived by a son and daughter in-law Thomas W. and Nancy Reese of Wellsboro, PA, a daughter Linda D. Reese of Huntsville, TX, a sister and brother-in-law Margaret and Ben Copp, a brother and sister-in-law Ray and Bernice Abplanalp of Wellsboro, PA, three grandchildren Todd Reese, Jeffrey Reese, Teri Ann Kimball, three great grandchildren Sean, Lucas, Zachary Reese, numerous nieces and nephews and many special friends. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a son Philip A. Reese.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, December 26, 2006 from 7 to 9 PM at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA and on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 from 11 AM to noon at the Cherry Flats Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow the viewing at noon at the church with Pastors Richard Krueger and Vernon VanNess officiating. Burial will be in Welsh Settlement Cemetery, Charleston, Twp. Memorial contributions may be made in Gladys Reeses name to the Cherry Flats Baptist Church 2291 Cherry Flats Rd, Mansfield, PA 16933. www.buckheitfcandcrematory.com
