Obituary of Joseph R. Miles
Rev. Joseph R. Miles, age 78, of Mansfield, PA, died at his home Monday, December 5, 2011. He was born February 27, 1933 in Elkland, PA, a son of Chester and Rose (Warner) Miles. Joseph was the husband of Patricia Ann (Wood) Miles. He was a minister from 1957 to the present, serving for the Evangelical Wesleyan Church, Mansfield, PA, and a skilled glass worker for Corning Glass for 37 years. Joseph enjoyed reading and hunting with his children and grandchildren. He was a WWII buff.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Patricia of Mansfield, PA; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph D. and Gail Miles of Elizabethtown, PA; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Patty and Rev. Chuck Baldwin of Mansfield, PA, Elaine Miles Richardson of Geneva, NY, and Susan and Edward Cornelius of Weeki Wachee, FL; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Velma Maguire of Waterloo, NY, Mabel and Alex Rosky of Spring Hill, FL, and Eleanor Kellogg of Painted Post, NY; ten grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a great grandson, Jeffery Joseph Richardson.
Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, December 11, 2011 from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M. at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA, and Monday, December 12, 2011 from Noon to 1:00 P.M. at the Evangelical Wesleyan Church, 933 Smith Rd., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will be held at the church at 1:00 P.M. on Monday with the Rev. William McNees officiating, and Josephs son-in-law, Rev. Charles Baldwin and other ministers assisting.
