Obituary of Harold Gee

Harold Pete T. Gee, age 77, of Tioga, PA, died Friday, October 21, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Pete was born March 23, 1934 in Blossburg, PA, a son of Harry and Grace (Reynolds) Gee. He and his wife, Helen Cookie (Updyke) Gee celebrated 54 years of marriage. Pete was the owner/operator of the Tioga Hunting Preserve. He had been employed by Consolidated Gas, was a former owner of Gee Disposal and Scenic View Campground, and worked as a boro policeman for Tioga and Knoxville. Pete was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran having served during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post #235. Pete is survived by his wife Cookie of Tioga; six sons and daughters-in-law, Carl (Vicky) Gee, Mike (Kathy) Gee, Carman (Mureena) Gee, Mark and the late Sherry Gee, Scott (Kristi) Gee, Rodney (Kimberly) Gilbert, and daughter-in-law, Sheila Gee, all of Tioga, PA; 14 grandchildren, Angela, Meredith, Heather, Lindsey, Chase, Christopher, Kimberly, Mark, Ashley, Derek, Corey, Brooke, Sara Grace and Kayla; six great grandchildren, Jessie, Carl, Wyatt, Bailey, Kaegan, and Olivia; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Dale (Barb) Gee, Larry Gee, both of Tioga, PA; a sister and brother-in-law, Jane Rose (Elliott) Buffard of Tioga, PA; a sister-in-law, Betty Ann Gee of Bath, NY; two aunts, Mary Jane (Bernard) Brace of Mansfield, PA, Mildred Youngs of FL; and his dog, Peaches. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. and Wednesday, October 26, 2011 from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. with the Rev. Doug Hodge officiating.
