Obituary of Carlton L. Hand
Carlton L. Hand, age 78, of Mills, PA, died on Monday, September 12, 2011 at his residence. Born on June 28, 1933 on Bailey Hill, he was the son of Arthur and Belva (Lampman) Hand. Carlton is survived by his wife, Reha Betty (Mahnke) Hand. Prior to his retirement, Carlton was employed as a machinist at Electri-cord in Westfield, PA.
In addition to his wife, Betty, he is survived by six sons and daughters-in-law, Arthur and Peggy Hand of Harrison Valley, PA, Douglas and Cheryl Hand, Carl Hand, Loren Joe and Norma Hand and Mark Hand all of Mills, PA, Lester Mahnke of Palmyra, NY; three daughters and sons-in-law, Katheleen and Donald Tilton of Ulysses, PA, Sandra and Robert Sheehy of Scio, NY, Rose and Alvin Kenderdine of Washington Crossing, PA; one brother and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Esther Hand of Harrison Valley, PA; one sister, Emily Cary of Westfield, PA; 18 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Carlton was predeceased by two brothers, a sister and a great grandson, Jacob Tilton.
Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. and Thursday, September 15, 2011 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the Ulysses Free Methodist Church, 602 S. Main Street, Ulysses, PA. Funeral services will be held immediately following calling hours on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at the church with Rev. Eugene Charsky and Rev. Brad Miller officiating. . Memorial contributions may be made in Carltons name to the charity of ones choice. Burial will be in North Bingham Cemetery, Bingham Twp., PA. Funeral services are under the direction of Jacquelyn A.
