Obituary of Edna O. Chilson
Edna O. (Mann) Chilson, age 71, of Covington, PA, died on Friday, September 9, 2011 at the Carleton Senior Care and Rehabilitation Center in Wellsboro, PA. Edna was born on March 9, 1940 in Williamsport, PA, the daughter of John S. and Luelia O. (Hackett) Mann. She and her husband, Roger Jack David Chilson, would have celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary on October 5, 2011. Prior to her retirement, Edna was employed with the Downtown Timesaver as a bookkeeper. Over the years she also served as a custodian at Wests Motel and a cook for Eddie's Truck Stop. Edna was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
In addition to her husband, Roger Jack, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Roger D. and Patricia Chilson, II of Beltsville, MD; two daughters and a son-in-law, Roxie D. and Marvin Shrawder of Danville, PA, Kathy Peoples of Covington, PA; five grandchildren, Savannah Chilson, Trey (Gwen) Shrawder, Tisen Shrawder , Sabrina Shrawder, Robert Peoples and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother John Mann.
Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, September 11, 2011 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 South Main Street, Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 12, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the funeral chapel with Rev. Chris Schafer officiating. The family will provide the flowers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Edna's name to the American Heart Association, 613 Baltimore Dr., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
