Obituary of Walter Lynn Whitehead
Walter Lynn Whitehead (Tim), 40, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011, in California, after an extended illness. Walter, born Sept. 3, 1970, in Wellsboro, was the son of Hester Whitehead and Clarence Whitehead (deceased).
He attended area schools in Tioga County and graduated from Elizabethtown High School. A graduate of the Art Institute of Philadelphia, he worked as a computer technician. Walter was active in baseball, basketball and sport chair racing, winning several racing competitions, including an international race in Reading, England. He enjoyed traveling and model building.
In addition to his mother, Walter is survived by his fiance, Marri Noel Martin; a brother, Kemp B. Whitehead; a niece, Jessica; a nephew, Corey; and long-time friends, Lynn and Walter Sanders.
All who knew him appreciated his intelligence, mild manner and sense of humor.
