Obituary of Barbara E Bourne
On Friday, May 27, 2011 Barbara E. (Kepner) Bourne, age 66, of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, passed into the arms of her Lord very peacefully after many years of health problems, with her family by her side at Bradford County Manor., Troy, PA. Barbara was born March 22, 1945 in Sayre, PA, a daughter of Paul and Lillian ( ) Kepner. She leaves her husband of 46 years, Gerald L. Bourne. She was a friend to many; a very giving person of her talents. Barbara loved sewing and machine embroidery on her Bernida machine. She loved making candy and cookies to give to her many friends. Barbara was a secretary for W. Burlington Twp. for nearly 36 years and loved doing bookwork on her computer. She babysat for many children and had been employed by Troy Lunch and the Stocking Factory in Troy, PA. Barbara attended the Austinville Union Church.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Gerald of Columbia Cross Roads, PA; a daughter and son-in-law, Robyn and Dwayne Rummings of S. Williamsport, PA; a son and daughter-in-law, Ellery and Sabrina Bourne of Columbia Cross Roads, PA; four grandchildren, Brady Bourne, Brooklynn Bourne, Billy Rummings, and Heather Rummings; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Mary Kepner of Sayre, PA, John and Lauren Kepner of Allentown, PA, James and Rita Kepner of Sayre, PA, Tom and Norma Kepner of NC, Michael and Debbie Kepner of Lockwood, NY; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Marilyn and Sam Renninger of Sayre, PA, Kathy and Charles Henderson of New York, NY, Mary Alice Kepner of Athens, PA; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, a sister, Doris Merrick; a brother, Paul Kepner.
Family and friends are invited to call at the Austinville Union Church, Saturday, June 18, 2011 from 11:00 to 12 noon. A memorial service will follow at Noon at the church with Rev. Kenneth Marple officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bradford County Library for Childrens Books, Troy, PA 16947, or the Troy High School Music Dept., Troy, PA 16947. The Jacquelyn A.
