Obituary of James Edward Wandell
James Edward Wandell, age 76, formerly of Mansfield, died Sunday, May 8, 2011 at Bradford County Manor, Troy, PA. He was born July 11, 1934, a son of Rev. Glen and Florence (Tice) Dewey. James worked as a mechanic for Jones & Bragg Mining and Cross Excavating before he retired. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
James is survived by three daughters, LuAnn Cummings of Tioga, PA, Carla Fessler of Fredericksburg, VA, Patricia Nowakowski of Blossburg, PA; six grandchildren, Jason, Justin and Stuart Cummings, Krystal Hess, Chad and Victoria Fessler; four great grandchildren, Jacob and Joshua Cummings, Hailey and Karley Hess; four brothers, Gene Dewey of Washington, DC, Sam Wandell of Morris, PA, Robert Wandell of Mansfield, PA, Donald Welch of Covington, PA; a sister, Tressa Giles of Mansfield, PA; special friends, Lois Carey Wandell at Bradford County Manor, Jane Hand of Monticello, FL, and Marshall Hulslander of Mansfield, PA. He was predeceased by a sister, Amanda Brace.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at 6:00 P.M. at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA with the Pastor David Dressler officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Tioga County Honor Guard. www.buckheitfcandcrematory.com
