Obituary of Walter C. Murphy

Walter C. Murphy, Jr., age 74, of Mansfield, PA, died on Sunday, May 1, 2011 in Broad Acres Rehabilitation Center, Wellsboro, PA. Walter was born on March 30, 1937 in Atlantic City, NJ, the son of Walter and Mary (Money) C. Murphy, Sr. He was married to Sara (Hardy) Murphy. He and his wife, Sara, were co-owners of the Oasis Motel. Prior to moving to Mansfield, he was employed in the trucking industry in New Jersey. In addition to his wife, Sara, Walter is survived by a son, Walter C. Murphy, III of New Jersey; a daughter, Stephanie Murphy of New Jersey and two grandchildren, Walter and Danny Murphy. He was predeceased by a sister, Phyllis. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jacquelyn A.
