Obituary of Alyce L Cornish
Alyce L. Cornish, age 77, of Wellsboro, PA, passed away Monday, April 25, 2011 at The Green Home, Wellsboro, PA with her family by her side. Alyce was born March 27, 1934 in Lawrenceville, PA, a daughter of Byron and Ruth (Hoy) Morris. She was the wife of Chester E. Cornish and would have celebrated a 55th anniversary on July 7th. Alyce was an avid reader.
Alyce is survived by her husband, Chester; a son, Chester J. Cornish of Harrison Valley, PA; a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy C. and John Galvin of Elmira, NY; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley (Thomas) Wingert of Elmira, NY; four grandchildren, Byron Cornish, Matthew Cornish, Adam Rice, and Amanda Rice; four sisters-in-law, Betty (Robert) Morris of Westfield, PA, Florence (Joseph) McCaslin of Potter Brook, PA, Elizabeth (Lee) Painter of Scio, NY, Merna (Warren) Brimmer of Harrison Valley, PA; a brother-in-law, Edward B. Cornish of Wellsville, NY; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Byron and Ruth Morris and a brother, Robert Morris.
In keeping with Alyces wishes there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Alyce to Hospice at the Green Home, 37 Central Ave., Wellsboro, PA 16901. Burial will be in Champlin Cemetery, Westfield, PA. The Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S.
