Obituary of Robert J. Gardner

Robert J. Gardner, Sr., age 71 of Lawrenceville, PA, died Sunday, April 10, 2011 at his home. Robert was born September 12, 1939 in Bradford, PA, a son of Louis and Freida Bell (Smith) Gardner. He and his wife, Jean (Holsinger) Gardner, celebrated 52 years of marriage on January 24th. Robert enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching football. Robert is survived by his wife, Jean; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Tina Gardner, Jr. of Tioga, James and Dianna Gardner of Lawrenceville, PA; three daughters and a son-in-law, Robin and Skip Monk of Tioga, PA, Ronda and Ruth Gardner both of Lawrenceville, PA; 15 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; five sisters and a brother-in-law, Norma Walters of Tioga, PA, Joanne VanOrder, Betty Jean Austin, Jackie and Stan Rhoades, all of Bradford, PA, June Hand of Berrick City, PA; sister/neice, Judy Signor of Bradford, PA. He was predeceased by a sister, Joy Henderson. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 from Noon to 2:00 P.M. at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Debra Button officiating.
