Obituary of Elizabeth L. Kunes

Elizabeth L. Kunes, age 70, of Roseville, PA, died on Sunday, March 20, 2011 in The Green Home, Wellsboro, PA. Elizabeth was born on June 24, 1940 in Wellsboro, PA, the daughter of Virgil and Lillian (Root) Strait. She was married to Ralph W. Kunes. Prior to her retirement, Elizabeth was employed for 26 years as a laborer with Paper Magic. She enjoyed flowers, animals, birds, walking, hiking and traveling. In addition to her husband, Ralph, Elizabeth is survived by two daughters, Tammy Kunes of Apalachin, NY, Sherry Kunes of Wakefield, NC; a brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Peggy Strait of Wellsboro, PA, and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Edith and Larry Massicot of York, PA, and Pearl and Dennis Jackson of Roaring Branch, PA. She was predeceased by a brother, Earl Mellott. A private memorial service will be held for the family at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main Street, Mansfield, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Elizabeth's memory to the Mansfield Food Pantry, Lambs Creek Road, Mansfield, PA, 16933.
