Obituary of Robert P. Valimont

Robert P. Valimont, age 72, of Arnot, PA, died Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro, PA. Robert was born September 22, 1938 in Williamsport, PA, a son of Raymond and Hazel (Scott) Valimont. He and his wife, Alyne (Messick) Valimont, were married for 53 years. Robert was a self-employed auto body repairman. He was a member of the Church of the New Covenant in Mansfield and a U. S. Navy veteran having served during the Korean War. Robert enjoyed playing chess, fishing, and working on model airplanes. Robert is survived by his wife, Alyne; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert P. and Jill Valimont of Arnot; four daughters and sons-in-law, Vanessa and Robert Rollins of SC, Marilyn and Bruce Clark of Mansfield, Tonya and David Herbert of MS, Christine and William Miller of SC; a brother and a sister-in-law, Norman and June Valimont of MT; 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a great grandson, Jeffery Miller in 1997, brothers, David and Raymond Valimont, and a sister, Helen Eck. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Monday, March 7, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. at the Church of the New Covenant, 310 Extension St., Mansfield, PA with the Rev.
