Obituary of Ronald D. Lloyd

Ronald D. Lloyd, age 77, of Wellsboro, PA, died Monday, January 31, 2011 at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro, PA. Ronald was born January 14, 1934 in Kingston, PA, a son of William and Eva (Hoffman) Lloyd. He was the husband of Patricia (Belles) Kendall Lloyd. Ron graduated from Bucknell University and retired as the Regional Administrator for the Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Wellsboro, a U.S. Army veteran, and enjoyed wood carving. Ronald is survived by his wife, Patricia; a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Sharon Lloyd of Chagrin Falls, OH; four step daughters, Lisa (Bill Rusen) Kendall of Ithaca, NY, Lynn Kendall of Haywood, CA, Libby (Steve) Occhino of Nauvoo, PA, and Leslie (Rev. Duane) Pease of Crab Orchard, WV; two grandchildren, Haley Lloyd and Charley Lloyd; five step-grandchildren, Christine Mooney, Rachel Cox, Sara Pease, Daniel Pease, Nicholas Occhino; five step-great grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Margaret Lloyd of Elizabethtown, PA; a sister, Irma Bartlebaugh of Dallas, TX. Ronald was predeceased by his first wife, Mary Barbara Griffith Lloyd in 1999, a daughter, Sheryl Ann Lloyd in 1976, and a step-granddaughter, Diane Thompson in 1997. Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Friday, February 4, 2011 at 4:00 P.M. at the United Methodist Church of Wellsboro, PA with Rev. Marian Hartman officiating. Burial will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Mechanicsburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the United Cerebral Palsy, 4638 Centre Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15213.
