Obituary of Virgil Cushing
Virgil Cushing, age 67, of Tioga, PA, died Sunday, January 02, 2011 at his daughters home in Mohrsville, PA. He was born October 31, 1943 in Tioga, PA a son of Arnold and Lorraine (Boehm) Cushing. He was the husband of Janet (Mores) Cushing. Virgil was a self-employed house painter before his retirement. He loved fishing and hunting.
Virgil is survived by his wife, Janet of Mohrsville, PA; daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Craig Styer of Mohrsville, PA; two grandchildren, Macala and Mackenzie; a brother, Maynard Cushing of Tioga, PA; six sisters, Gloria Clemens of Mansfield, PA, Penny Cushing of Bernville, PA, Marlene Gillett of Bath, NY, Sandra Thorpe of Covington, PA, Jeanne Passeri of Roseville, PA and Pauline Six of Mansfield, PA; a special friend of the family, Gale (Freddy) Fields of Bernville, PA. Virgil was predeceased by his parents and two brothers, Ronald and Kenneth.
Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will be held immediately following the viewing at 5:00 PM at the funeral home with Father Joseph McNamara officiating.
