Obituary of Helen M. VanValkenburg
Helen M. Van Valkenburg, age 82, of Wellsboro, PA, died on Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010 in The Green Home, Wellsboro, PA. Helen was born on November 13, 1927 in Danville, NY, the daughter of William and Edna Mary Babcock. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis VanValkenburg.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting and crossword puzzle books.
Helen is survived by four sons; David VanValkenburg of Warsaw, Rodney McKnight of Watertown, NY, Michael VanValkenburg of West Virginia, Marcus McKnight of Rochester, NY; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Jeanie VanValkenburg of Wellsboro, PA, Sandy and David Clark of Mansfield, PA, Edna VanValkenburg and Everett Shippy of Florida; one sister, Frances Franny of Florida; twenty grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, September 3, 2010 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the funeral chapel with Rev. Kristi Webster officiating. Burial will be in Niles Valley Cemetery, Middlebury Center, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel to assist with funeral expenses. www.buckheitfcandcrematory.com
