Obituary of Meredith Marie Tarzian
Meredith Marie Tarzian, age 32, of Mansfield, PA, died on Monday, October 2, 2006 at her residence. Meredith was born on July 31, 1974 in Latrobe, PA, the daughter of Harry and Donna (Burke) Tarzian of Rebersburg, PA.
Meredith was a 1992 graduate of State College High School, received a B.A. in English from Penn State University in 1997 and a Teacher Education Certificate from Lock Haven University in 1999. She student taught in Australia and Bellefonte, PA where she also served as a long-term substitute. Meredith was employed by the Southern Tioga School District since 2004 as an English and Spanish teacher at Mansfield Jr./Sr. High School.
In addition to her parents, Meredith is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law; Harry and Jackie Tarzian of Massachusetts and Patrick and Ann Tarzian of Florida; a sister and brother-in-law Michaelanne and Al Boyd of Exton, PA; a maternal grandmother Mary Grace Burke of State College, PA; a sister and brother-in-law in spirit, Stacey and Mark Brennan of State College, PA, five nieces and nephews, many friends and students, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, October 4, 2006 from 5:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA. A time of sharing will be held immediately following the viewing on Wednesday at 6:30 P.M. at the funeral home. A viewing will also be held on Thursday, October 5, 2006 from 6:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA. A time of sharing will be held immediately following the viewing on Thursday at 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
