Obituary of Catherine R. Kittle
Catherine R. Kittle, age 76, of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, died on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at her home. Catherine was born on Nov. 16, 1933 in Welles Twp., PA, the daughter of Albert D. and Alice (Lewis) Roy.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed for over 14 years with Bethany Village. Catherine was a 40 year member of the Austinville Union Church where she served as pianist, choir director and produced a significant Christmas cantata for many years. She was a volunteer at the Troy Farm Museum, a member of the Columbia Cross Roads PTA, participated in PTA variety musical show fundraising.
Catherine is survived by two sons, Robert Kittle of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, James Kittle of Colorado Springs, CO; two daughters, Debra Greenleaf of State College, PA, Darlene Dolly Anderson of Mansfield, PA; a brother, Lyle Roy of South Carolina; three sisters, Barbara Spotts of Phoenix, AZ, Eleanor Zeigler of Troy, PA, Joyce Taylor of Wellsboro, PA; two granchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, July 11, 2010 from 3:00 to 4:00 PM at the Austinville Union Church, Austinville, PA. A memorial service will be held immediately following calling hours at the church at 4:00 PM with the Rev. Kenneth Marple officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in Catherine's name to the Austinville Union Church, RR 1, Box 368, Troy, PA 16947. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jacquelyn A.
