Obituary of Edward J. Greene
Edward J. Greene, age 53, of Mansfield, PA, died Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro, PA. Edward was born October 21, 1956 in Mansfield, PA, a son of William and Alberta (Ayers) Greene. He was the husband of Jeanette (Wales) Greene. Edward had served with the National Guard. He enjoyed spending time with his wife and children, watching wrestling, NASCAR racing, playing games on the computer and chatting with friends online - Jackie Stoutenburg Tankersley - whenever Edward needed something, she would be there. She used to call him Eddie Bear. He enjoyed making jokes and fooling around. He was always full of laughter.
Edward is survived by his wife, Jeanette; his father, William Greene of OH; two sons, Phillip Greene of Blossburg, PA, Keith Callahan of Elkland, PA; three daughters, Amy Greene of Mansfield, PA, Bonnie Gwinn of MI, Kattie Goodwin of FL; three brothers, Donald Mac of NC, Timothy and Howard Greene of OH; three sisters, Patricia Stahle of AL, Julie Rose of Waverly, NY, Cindy Jerrells of NY; a stepfather, Claude Ayers of Gillett, PA; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews; special friends Angela Pennypacker of Mansfield, Justin Wisk of Mansfield, Ambrosia Crable of Mansfield, Christopher Langan of Elkland, and Cynthia Stout of Muncy, PA. He was predeceased by his mother, Alberta in 2009 and a brother, Donald Lee Ayers. He has always missed his mother and has gone home to be with her.
