Obituary of William Edgar Hills

William E. Hills, age 86, of Lawrenceville, PA, died Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Broad Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Wellsboro, PA. William was born April 16, 1924 in Tioga, PA, the son of Edgar and Mattie (Froman) Hills. He was predeceased by his wife, Jeanette (Perry) Hills. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a truck driver with Robert Smith Trucking. William is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, William Edward and Mary Vermilyea of Cherokee, NC, John and Donna Vermilyea of Coatesville, PA, David and Gloria Vermilyea of Roseville, PA; two daughters, Marie (Jack Seymour) Hazlett of Pine City, NY, Betty May of Lawrenceville, PA; one brother, James Hills of Lawrenceville, PA; a special niece, Jackie Green of Lawrenceville; nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Jeanette, he was also predeceased by a sister, Helena Naylor; a brother, Bernard Hills; a son, Richard Vermilyea and a son-in-law, David May. A memorial will be held on Monday, December 27, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA, with Rev. G.
