Obituary of Dorothy J. Tripp
Dorothy Jean (Davis) Tripp, age 74, of Rising Sun, MD, formerly of Elkland and Tioga, PA, died Sunday, December 12, 2010 in Havre De Grace, MD. She was born May 8, 1936 in Harrison Valley, PA. She married Paul Tripp in 1955. Dorothy worked for Corning Glass Works for 38 years until she retired in 1997. She enjoyed spending time with family, her church in Tioga, her soaps, cooking and doing for others.
Dorothy is survived by her children; Paul (Mitzi) Tripp of Tioga, PA, Gaila (Bill) Ahearn of Colora, MD, Jack (Beth) Tripp of Aberdeen, MD; brothers, Randy Brockway of FL, Joe (Brenda) Davis of Tioga, PA, and Terry Davis of Batavia, NY; sisters, Rhonda (Terry) Tenny of Elkland, PA, Sherry (Steve) Campbell of Clarendon, NY, Sylvia (Roger) Novak of Clarendon, NY; foster brother, Harold (Cindy) Schoonover of Dansville, NY; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren. Dorothy was predeceased by her parents, John Davis and Helen (Courtright) Washburn; brothers, Gail and Robert Covell; husband, Paul Tripp, and companion, Dick Guiles.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, December 16, 2010 from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will be held following the visitation at the funeral home with Rev. Harry Colegrove officiating. Burial will be in Osceola Cemetery.
