Obituary of Daniel George Hughes
Daniel George Hughes, age 64, of St. Petersburg, FL, formerly of Tioga, PA, died on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 in St. Petersburg. Born on August 30, 1946 in Blossburg, PA, Daniel was the son of
George and Mary (Mays) Hughes. Daniel was married to Lucette Hughes.
Prior to his retirement, Daniel was employed with Finish Master in St. Petersburg as a shipper. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing the lottery. Daniel was a US Army veteran and a lifetime member of the American Legion.
In addition to his wife, Lucette, Daniel is survived by a son, Jason Hughes of St. Petersburg, FL; one grandson, Matthew Hughes; a loving sister, Rita Hughes Olson of Blossburg, PA; two special nephews, Carl (Lynette) Olson and Christopher Olson, both of Blossburg, PA; special friends, aunts, uncles and cousins all with whom he had close relationships.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, December 17, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 South Main Street, Mansfield, PA. A celebration of Daniels life will be held immediately following calling hours at 8:00 PM. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Arbon Cemetery. www.buckheitfcandcrematory.com
