Obituary of Mary E. Wood
Mary E. Wood Ma Wood, age 76, of Tioga, PA died Wednesday, October 20, 2010 in Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro, PA. Mary was born on February 11, 1934 in Sayre, PA, the daughter of Howard and Della (May) Knapp.
Prior to her retirement, Mary was employed as a cook for the Bush House and later the Twin Lakes Restaurant. Mary enjoyed family and friends, loved cooking and spent many years decorating cakes. She collected dolls and loved gardening, crafts and sewing.
Mary is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Roger and Marilyn Wood of Tioga, PA, Edward E. Wood, Jr. of Caroline County, VA, Barry Lee and Linda Wood of Dansville, NY; two daughters and a son-in-law, Michelle Wood of Moyock, NC, Brenda (David Maurice) Burnside of Tioga, PA; one brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Priscilla Knapp of Troy, PA; three half brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Annette Camp, Jr. of Tioga, PA, Bill and Candy Camp of Big Pond, PA, Chuck and Carol Camp of Tioga, PA; one half sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Westley Leonard of TX; 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by a special friend and companion of 22 years, Ken Harvey and 2 great grandsons, Dustin and Camdon Wood.
Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, October 23, 2010 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will be held immediately following calling hours at 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
