Obituary of Margaret Elizabeth Mainus
Margaret Elizabeth Mainus, age 97, of Lawrenceville, PA, died Sunday, September 26, 2010 at Corning Hospital. She was born April 9, 1913 in Enosburgh, VT, a daughter of Julius and Chastina (Lawrence) Young. Margaret was a school teacher in Special Education in Little Marsh, Knoxville, and Westfield Elementary Schools for 40 years. She was a member of the Episcopal Church in Westfield, the Eastern Star in Knoxville, and the Retired Teachers Association. She played the organ for area churches.
Margaret is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, David and Bernadette Mainus of Lawrenceville; a daughter, Ann Foster of Kansas City, KS; grandchildren, David Lawrence U.S. Air Force, stationed in S. Korea, Diana Lee Foster of Kansas City, KS, Margaret Ann Foster of Ventura, CA; and several great grandchildren; a brother, Irving Young of Ventura, CA. Margaret was predeceased by a son, John Bessemer.
