Obituary of Alberta J. Belknap

Alberta J. (Padgett) Belknap, age 71, of Mansfield, PA, died on Monday, January 11, 2010 in Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro, PA. Born on November 18, 1938 in Blossburg, PA, Alberta was the daughter of Edward and Blanche Padgett. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Edward Belknap, Jr. on March 17, 2004, one great granddaughter, Alexis Jade Ryan and a special friend, Byron Stauffer. Prior to her retirement, Alberta was employed as a waitress with the American Truck Stop. She had previously been employed by the Bikini Motel and the Dutch Pantry. Alberta is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gene Belknap of Blossburg, PA, Charles and Jeanna Belknap of Elmira, NY; two daughters and a son-in-law, Connie Marble of Chesapeake, VA, Shirley and Randy Hilfiger of Covington, PA; 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, three brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Donna Padgett of Tioga, PA, Dick and Sylvia Padgett of Lawrenceville, PA, Ed and Debbie Padgett of Tioga, PA; two sisters, Edna Friends of Millerton, PA, Ruth Stone of Tioga, PA. At Albertas request, there will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made in Albertas name to the PA SPCA, Mansfield Road, Wellsboro, PA. The Jacquelyn A.
