Obituary of Roger Francis Audinwood
Roger Zeke Francis Audinwood, age 78, of Tioga, PA, died January 8, 2010 in Tioga Township. Roger was born April 4, 1931 in Tioga, a son of Harry and Leoda (Thomas) Audinwood. He was the husband of Geraldine V. (Cernik) Audinwood. Roger retired from the Chemung Foundry. He was a member of the American Legion Post #235 where he was a former Chaplain, a member of the Tioga Co. Honor Guard Assoc., and a member of the Jackson Summit Baptist Church. Roger was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Korean War.
Roger is survived by his wife, Geraldine, of Tioga, PA; two step-sons, Charles (Zeneb) Heater of Merritt Island, FL, Roger Heater of Tioga, PA; a step-daughter, Connie A. (Daniel) Cobb of Millerton, PA; seven step-grandchildren, Misty, Shelley, Jack, Glenn, Kory and Kimberly; 12 step-great grandchildren; a brother, Fred Audinwood of Tioga, PA; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a step-grandson, Kevin Heater, in 2001, three brothers, Will, Merle and Harry Audinwood.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, January 12, 2009 from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home with the Rev. John Shypulefski officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Tioga, PA. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Rogers memory to the Tioga County Honor Guard Assoc., P O Box 512, Tioga, PA 16946.
