Obituary of Roger Francis Audinwood

Roger Zeke Francis Audinwood, age 78, of Tioga, PA, died January 8, 2010 in Tioga Township. Roger was born April 4, 1931 in Tioga, a son of Harry and Leoda (Thomas) Audinwood. He was the husband of Geraldine V. (Cernik) Audinwood. Roger retired from the Chemung Foundry. He was a member of the American Legion Post #235 where he was a former Chaplain, a member of the Tioga Co. Honor Guard Assoc., and a member of the Jackson Summit Baptist Church. Roger was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Korean War. Roger is survived by his wife, Geraldine, of Tioga, PA; two step-sons, Charles (Zeneb) Heater of Merritt Island, FL, Roger Heater of Tioga, PA; a step-daughter, Connie A. (Daniel) Cobb of Millerton, PA; seven step-grandchildren, Misty, Shelley, Jack, Glenn, Kory and Kimberly; 12 step-great grandchildren; a brother, Fred Audinwood of Tioga, PA; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a step-grandson, Kevin Heater, in 2001, three brothers, Will, Merle and Harry Audinwood. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, January 12, 2009 from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home with the Rev. John Shypulefski officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Tioga, PA.
