Obituary of Joyce Frances Adams

Joyce Frances Adams, age 60, of Morris Run, PA, died on Sunday, September 27, 2009 at her home surrounded by her loving family, after a long bout with cancer. Joyce was born on August 21, 1949 in Wellsboro, PA, the daughter of Charles and Lucille (Goodwin) Grinnell. Joyce was employed as the Principal Clerk at the Chemung County Nursing Facility. She was a member of the Red Hats Society and enjoyed ceramics, gardening, interior decorating and dogs. Joyce is survived by her former husband, Robert Adams and her three daughters and sons-in-law, Tina and Mark Anthony of Gillett, PA, Tammy Adams of Gillett, PA, Tracey and Adam Ellis of Gillett, PA; a brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Carol Grinnell of Mainesburg, PA; a sister, Joan Sargent of Mansfield, PA, seven grandchildren: Thor, Brooke, Logan, Matthew, Sara, Ashley and Cade and her parents, Charles and Lucille Grinnell of Wellsboro, PA. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 from 1:30 to 2:30 P.M. at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 South Main Street, Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home immediately following calling hours at 2:30 P.M. with Reverend Canon Gregory P. Hinton officiating.
