Obituary of Barbara G. Fields
Barbara G. Fields, age 82, born January 9, 1927 in Vernon, NY, went to meet her Lord on Wednesday, July 8, 2009. She was the wife of James I. Fields who preceded her in death in 2007. She was the daughter of Edward and Beatrice (Lungren) Bailey. Barbara worked in her daughters styling salon for 25 years and cherished every moment and every customer. She loved making coffee on Sunday morning at the Olde Covert Church which she was a member of. She was referred to as the Hat Lady. Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She had been an avid bowler and enjoyed spending time cooking.
Barbara is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Charles and Earlene Bailey of Mansfield, PA; three grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, Brad and Stacey, Chris and Sara, Eric and Lauren; 6 great grandchildren, Buddy, David, Jarrod, Ayden, Alli Jo and Ashlyn Marie; a brother, Edward and Barb Bailey, Berkley Springs, WV; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jack and Betty Fields of Greencastle, ID; sister-in-law, Joan Fields of Louden, TN; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a sister, Mary Pylinski.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Olde Covert Church, Armenia Mt., Troy, PA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Barbaras name to the Olde Covert Church, c/o Kenneth Marple, River Rd., Troy, PA 16947. The Jacquelyn A.
