Obituary of Helen E. Jasper

Helen E. Jasper, age 81, of Wellsboro, PA, died Thursday, July 2, 2009 at Broad Acres Health and Rehabilitation Center in Wellsboro. Helen was born March 2, 1928 in Clearfield, County, Coalport, PA, a daughter of Dean and Edith (Diehl) Youngkin. She was the widow of the late Clair Jasper who died in 1966. Helen retired from Corning Glass in State College, PA. She enjoyed reading, canning and crocheting. Helen is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John and Teresa Jasper of Wellsboro; a daughter-in-law, Peggy Jasper of Pleasant Gap, PA; 4 grandchildren, Tracy Helen, Tammy Jasper, Jeff Jasper and Karen Wood; 7 great grandchildren, Paige Carpenter, Sarah Rasor, Jessica Rasor, Mason Martel, Jordan, Jacob and Jalen Jasper; a brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Irma Youngkin of Coalport, PA; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandra and Raymond Adams of Johnstown, PA, Shirley Noel of Angola, NY, Patty Juran of Harrisburg, PA, Beverly and Gilbert Larson of Erie, PA, and Jeannie Youngkin of Phoenix, AZ. Helen was predeceased by her husband, Clair, a son, Jerry Jasper and a sister, Gloria Hockenberry. In keeping with Helens wishes, there will be no public services. Burial will be in Snyder Cemetery, Lyleville, PA. Memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of the Green Free Library, 134 Main St., Wellsboro, PA 16901. The Jacquelyn A.
