Obituary of Phillip Vernon Parker

Phillip V. Parker, age 65, of Tioga, PA, died Saturday, May 30, 2009 at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. Phillip was born July 27, 1943 in Elmira, NY, a son of Vernon and Vergaleen (Rarick) Parker. He was the husband of Barbara (Tice) Parker for 42 years. He was employed by Corning, Inc. for 30 years. Phillip was a U.S. Navy veteran. He enjoyed working on cars, drag racing, traveling, camping and spending time with his grandchildren. Phillip is survived by his wife, Barbara; a son and daughter-in-law, Tracy and Jamie Parker of Tioga, PA; a daughter and son-in-law, Krista and Curt Feairheller of Kettering, OH; five grandchildren, Daniel, Sarah, Destiny, Tristan and Emma; a brother and sister-in-law, William and Martha Parker of Harrisburg, PA. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 from Noon to 2:00 P.M. at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will be held immediately following the viewing at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Berg officiating.
