Obituary of Leland E. Lamphier
Leland Lumpy Tiny E. Lamphier, age 67, of Mansfield, PA died Monday, April 27, 2009 at Buffalo VA Hospital, Buffalo, NY. He was born December 29, 1941 in Tioga County, PA, a son of Willis and Phyllis (Cleveland) Lamphier. Lumpy was the husband of Marjorie Marge (Mattison) Lamphier. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. Lumpy enjoyed fishing, farming and collecting John Deere tractors in 64 scale.
Lumpy is survived by his wife, Marge; three sons, Damon (Chrissy Teeter) Lamphier of Pine Valley, NY, Joseph Baker of Elmira, NY, Dustin Lamphier of Mills, PA; three daughters, Terri (Scott Jackson) Williams of Elmira, NY, Laurie Smith of Elmira, NY, Jenna Rae Lamphier of Mansfield, PA; four step-children, Tammy (Shawn) Crowner of Genesee, PA, Gordon Joe Nowakowski of Mansfield, PA, Gary Poke (Miranda) Bliss of Mansfield, PA, Richard (Kristi) Bliss of Mansfield, PA; step-brother, Richard Prutsman of Florida, sister, Carol Miller of Pittsburgh, PA; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, David Lamphier in 2009; step-father, Austin Prutsman; step-sister, Marion Scott; granddaughter, Laural Smith.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, May 1, 2009 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will be held immediately following the visitation at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home with the Rev. G. Victor Perry officiating. Burial will be in Roseville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Childrens Miracle Network, c/o Arnot Ogden Medical Center, 600 Roe Ave., Elmira, NY 14904.
