Obituary of Edna Doris Dibble
Edna Doris Dibble, age 76, of Knoxville, PA, died on April 7, 2009 at her residence. Edna was born on June 21, 1932 in Tuscarora, NY, the daughter of Albert and Corra (Rockwell) Newman. She was predeceased by her husband, William R. Dibble, on April 7, 1995.
In addition to being a homemaker, Edna enjoyed bluegrass music, collecting angels, walking, sewing and making clothing. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Knoxville and the Elkland Rod & Gun Club.
Edna is survived by four sons and two daughters-in-law; Ron and Tina Dibble of Knoxville, PA, Daryl Dibble of Pittston, PA, Dana Dibble of Pittston, PA, Lawrence and Lisa Decker Dibble of Addison, NY; three daughters and one son-in-law, Sharron and Daryl Sawer of Castle Creek, NY, Laurie Hudson of Scranton, PA, Elaine Marie Schett of Westfield, PA; a step-son, Frederick Dibble of Mansfield, PA, one sister, Violet Newman; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a special friend, Sandra Williammee of Antrim, PA. In addition to her husband, William Dibble, she was also predeceased by a daughter, Dorris Dibble; three step-children, William Dibble, Jr., Norm Allice, Phyllis Dibble; a brother, Edward Newman and one sister, Grace Newman.
Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, April 13, 2009 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 South Main Street, Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor John Mann officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Knoxville, PA.
