Obituary of Robert A. Moyers

Robert A. Bob Moyers, Sr., age 63, of Covington, PA, died Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro, PA. Bob was born August 15, 1945 in Middle Mountain, WV, a son of Bertha (Weese) Moyers. He was the husband of Catherine Cathy (Frost) Moyers. Bob was employed as a welder for Ingersoll Rand for 37 years. He graduated from Liberty High School in 1965. Bob was a member of the Wellsboro Moose Lodge #1147, the Arnot Sportsmens Club, the Hillside Rod and Gun Club, and a member of the Covington community since 1972. He will be missed by all of his friends. Bob is survived by his wife, Cathy, of Covington, PA; a son, Robert Moyers, Jr. of Covington, PA; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tammi and John Perla, Jr. of Arnot, PA, Julee and Jon Reid of Blossburg, PA; five grandchildren, Gabriella Perla, David Perla, Emily Perla, Austin Moyers, Morgan Reid, and baby Zane, due on March 11, 2009; a sister and brother-in-law, Edna and Raymond Wilfong of Barton, WV; also survived by in-laws, Joseph and Jean Powers, Richard and Louise Griffith, Joseph and Pat Ames, Sandra Sumner, Milford Sonny and Alcena Frost, Robert and Dusty Frost, Gary Frost, Janice Frost, Robby and Shirley Robinson; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, March 8, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will be held following the calling hours at 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home with the Rev. Keith Diehl officiating.
