Obituary of Ralph Mahlon Kennedy

Ralph Mahlon Kennedy, of Wellsboro, PA, died Monday, February 16, 2009 at the Samaritan House in Wellsboro surrounded by his loving family. Mahlon was born April 2, 1925 in Wellsboro, PA, a son of Raymond A. and Wilda R. (Blackwell) Kennedy. He was the husband of Teresa Ann (Patt) Kennedy. Mahlon retired from Ingersoll Rand in Painted Post, NY after 30 years. He was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church, Wellsboro, PA. He loved reading and collecting books. He was a member of the AFLCIO Local Union 313. He supported his family, Middle Ridge Church, and Kennedyville Cemetery for over fifty years. Mahlon is survived by his wife, Teresa; sons and daughters-in-law, David R. and Kathy A. Kennedy of Wellsboro, PA, Timothy M. and Amy G. Kennedy of Columbus, OH, Philip P. Kennedy of Warriors Mark, PA, Francis J. and Natalie C. Kennedy of Wellsboro, PA,; daughters and sons-in-law, Ellen M. and James A. Gilligan of Cincinnati, OH, Nancy J. and Bob E. Lange of Flat Rock, NC; grandchildren, Matthew Kennedy and great grand daughter Mia Kennedy, Adrienne (Michael) Gilbert, Jillian, David, Anna, Mark, Christine, Joshua and Faith Kennedy, Kathleen Gilligan, John, Martin and Teresa Lange. He was predeceased by brothers, Francis, Paul and Ward Kennedy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peters Catholic Church, 38 Central Ave., Wellsboro, PA on Friday, February 20, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. Burial will be in Kennedyville Cemetery, Shippen Twp., Wellsboro, PA.
