Obituary of Frances M. Carter
Frances M. Carter, 99, of Corning, NY, formerly of Addison, NY, entered into rest Dec. 1, 2009. She was born August 5, 1910, in Borden, NY, to the late Dora Brown Long and Will Brown. She was married to Thomas Harvey Carter from England who preceded her in death May 3, 1977. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Howell, Newfield, NY; Ethel Jones, Addison, NY and brother William Brown, Largo, FL.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia (Roger) Watkins, Buffalo, NY; Peggy (Roger) Wynkoop, Osceola, PA; four grandsons, Mark Brian, Thomas (Linda) Watkins, Alan (Jenni) Brian and Steven Watkins; several great grandchildren and nephews.
Francis was a homemaker, childcare provider, manager of ProAction meal site in Addison and had 15,000 hours as a RSVP volunteer. She was a communicant of the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, Addison, NY, and a member of the Episcopal Church Women. Burial will be in the Addison Rural Cemetery.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on July 3rd at 11:30 AM in the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, Wombaugh Square, Addison, NY.
