Obituary of Hazel M. Bartlett
Hazel M. (Padgett) Bartlett, age 89, of Tioga, PA, died on Sunday, November 15, 2009 at her home. Born on July 15, 1920 in Alburn, NY, she was the daughter of George and Lottie Cummings. Hazel was married to Dee Edwin Bartlett who preceded her in death on March 23, 2004.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Corning Glass Works, the Ben Franklin store and was the former owner of the Tioga Lanes bowling alley. Hazel enjoyed knitting, crocheting and gardening.
Hazel is survived by one son, Drexel Goodwin of Thomasville, PA; two step sons, Francis Bartlett of Williamsport, PA, Edwin Bartlett of Painted Post, NY; three daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and Robert Gee of Lawrenceville, PA, Connie and Frank Burczynski of Horseheads, NY, Glenda Smith of Tioga, PA; 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. In addition to her husband, Dee, she was predeceased by a brother, George, and a daughter-in-law, Nancy Goodwin in 2007.
Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 from 12 Noon to 2:00 PM at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main Street, Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will be held immediately following calling hours at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Debra Button officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in Hazels name to the charity of ones choice or the Tioga Firemans Association, 7 Rarick Dr.,Tioga, PA, 16946.
