Obituary of Howard R. Bartlett
Howard R. Bartlett, age 70, of Mansfield, PA, died Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Broad Acres Health and Rehabilitation Center, Wellsboro, PA. Howard was born October 7, 1939 in Charleston Twp., a son of Louie and Helen Marie (Yaudes) Bartlett. He was a U.S. Marine veteran. Howard graduated from Mansfield High School in 1957. He was a truck driver for B & D Transfer, retiring in 2002. Howard enjoyed spending time on his farm and in the woods. He was a life member of Sebring VFW 6755.
Howard is survived by a step-daughter, Paula L. Gee, of Mansfield, PA; a step-son, Merle Bellinger of Hollywood, MD; four step-grandsons, Mason, Grant, Jeremy and Aaron; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert Bob and Madeline Maddy Bartlett of Mansfield, PA, Oliver Richard Dick Bartlett of Wellsboro, PA, Henry and Betty Bartlett of Blossburg, PA; an aunt, Nancy Yaudes, of Williamsport; PA, and an uncle, Leonard Yaudes of Elmira, NY; nieces and nephews. Howard was preceded in death by his parents in 1971 and 1972.
Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will immediately follow the viewing at 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home with the Rev. Joy Hulslander officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Tioga County Honor Guard. The family will provide the flowers. Burial will be in Welsh Settlement Cemetery, Charleston Twp. Memorial contributions may be made in Howards memory to the Mansfield Ambulance Association, 381 S.
