Obituary of Barbara J. Harrington
Barbara J. Harrington, age 71, of Wellsboro, PA, died Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Broad Acres Health and Rehabilitation Center, Wellsboro, PA. Barbara was born December 29, 1937 in Meadville, PA, a daughter of Horace and June (Hardy) Martin. She was the wife of Wayne F. Harrington with whom she celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on September 24, 2009. She graduated from Mansfield High School in 1955. Barbara was employed as a manager at the former Widmans Drug Store in Wellsboro. She was a member of the Canoe Camp Church of Christ. Barbara enjoyed doing word search puzzles and watching birds.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Wayne; a daughter, Martina Giese of Wellsboro; a son, Mark Harrington of Jacksonville, FL; three grandchildren, Kimberly (Michael) Pierce, Sarah (Christopher) Antienowicz, and John Harrington of Jacksonville, FL; six great grandchildren; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Ted and Mary Martin of Covington, PA, Skip and Cathy Martin of Covington, PA, Guy Robert and Cheryl Martin of Mansfield, PA; a sister and brother-in-law, Sundae and Jack Reidy of Mansfield, PA. She was predeceased by her parents and two brothers, John Martin and Tim Martin.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, October 29, 2009 from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will be held immediately following the viewing at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Tioga County Memorial Gardens, Charleston Twp.
