Obituary of Robert Burkholder

Robert L. Burkholder Lawn Mower Man, age 66, of Covington, PA, died Friday, January 9, 2009 at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. He was born January 25, 1942 in West Chester, PA, a son of Elmer Roy and Anne Marie (Lewis) Burkholder. Robert served in the Korean War. He enjoyed gardening. Robert is survived by a son, Timothy Burkholder of CO; a daughter, Lillian Pettit of NY; two grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Gwyn Burkholder of Covington, PA; a sister, Judith Wilson of Covington, PA. He was preceded in death by a brother, Elmer Roy Burkholder, Jr., and two sisters, Carol Ann Harple and Mary Ellen Furgeson. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Lancaster, PA. The Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA is assisting the family.
