Obituary of Marguerite G. Hodder

Marguerite Marge G. Hodder, age 83, a resident of the Laurels and the Green Home, Wellsboro, PA and formerly of Blossburg, PA, died Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro, PA. Marge was the wife of the late Romain Hodder who died in 1995. Marge was born on September 4, 1925 in Clarksville, VA, a daughter of June and Esther (Bray) Carlton. She had been employed by Ward Manufacturing. Marges favorite hobby was cross stitching and she loved Teddy Bears. Marge is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Daniel Smith of Towanda, PA; a son and daughter-in-law, Jerome Jerry and Laurie Hodder of Wellsboro, PA; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Maynard and Caroline Carlton, of SC, Norman and Georgia Carlton of NC, Stanley and Carol Carlton of NC, Bid and Juanita Carlton of Clarksville, VA; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Irma and Alton Rickman of SC, Hazel Hutcheson of Mansfield, PA; and a special friend, Lee Hamm of the Laurels in Wellsboro, PA. Marguerite was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a son, Wayne Hodder in 1962, and a sister, Jewell VanDruff. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, January 10th, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S.
