Obituary of Francis Donald Wells

Francis Donald Wells, age 86, 1634 Ridge Rd, Lockwood, NY, formerly of Mansfield, PA died Sunday, December 31, 2006 at home in Haines City, Florida. He was the husband of the late Marian (Stickler) Wells who died on December 6, 2000. Francis was born in 1920 in Mansfield, PA, son of Samuel and Lena (McConnell) Wells. He was employed by Pennsylvania Electric Co. for 14 years and Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for 18 years retiring in 1986. Francis was a member of the Canoe Camp Church of Christ. He was a WWII US Army Veteran. Francis is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Samuel and Susan Wells of Lockwood, NY, a daughter, Deborah Wells of Lakeland, FL; eight grandchildren, Samuel Wells, Jr. (wife Meredith), Stafford, VA., Ryan Wells, (wife Emily), Bill Morgan, Kerry Morgan, Mark Morgan (Wife Barbara), Mary Miller, Dawn Holcomb, and Tiffiny Elman; eleven great grandchildren, one great great grandson Devin DeWayne Prather, a nephew John (wife Janice) Wells of Mansfield, PA, a grand niece Cheryl Ann (Joseph) LaBlanc of Covington, PA, two grand nephews Scott (Sharon) Wells of Tioga, Todd (Melissa) Wells Dushore, PA and two great nephews. Francis was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Marian in 2000, two daughters Brenda Phillips in 2001, Rebecca Holley in 2000, and a brother Ignute J. "Stub" Wells in 1985. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, January 5, 2007 from 1 to 2 PM at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 5, 2007 immediately following the viewing at 2 PM at the funeral home.
