Obituary of Ellsworth John Deats

Ellsworth John "Ellie" Deats, age 81, of Tioga, PA, passed away at his home on Saturday, October 19, 2024. He was born on July 17, 1943, in Corning, NY, a son of Donald T. Deats, Sr. and Arlene (Butler) Deats. Ellie was the husband of Janice (Roosa) Deats. He worked as a welder for Dresser Rand and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family. Ellie is survived by his wife, Janice; daughters, Suzanne (Greg) Craybas of Syracuse, NY, Jill (Joseph) Spadaccino of Harrisburg, PA, and Aleisha (Jay Rosenbloom) Mosher of Athens, PA; seven grandchildren, Elena, Sophia, Hannah, Matthew, Connor, Elliana, and Calvin. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Donald and Martin Deats. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
